TIME MAGAZINE PROJECT

Major project is due on 1-17-18
This is the largest grade of the 3rd card marking. Make sure the project is done and turned in on time. Without this project it will be extremely hard if not impossible to pass the 3rd card marking. NO LATE PROJECTS ACCEPTED.
BACK IN TIME
You are to study a single year in United States History from 1900 to 1995. You get to pick the year. You will be presenting your research in the form of an end of the year TIME Magazine summary. TIME is an American news magazine. TIME is the world's largest weekly news magazine.
Your job is to create a magazine covering aspects of culture, politics, world events and economic developments, arts, music, lifestyles and the like from your chosen year. Your magazine should be reflective of TIME magazine as much as possible. In the course of your project, you will mimic the magazine's content and style. You choose the topics and write the articles. This is a research project, not a cut and paste exercise.
Be creative in your presentation but also be HISTORICALLY ACCURATE.
Your “magazine “must include at least 5 articles. 1 from each of the following subject areas
1) Politics in the US
2) Events around the world
3) Celebrities
4) Economic Developments
5) Life in America (Examples -Fads, fashions, sports, lifestyles- Pick one)
You will include a reference page. You should have at least one reference for each article you write.
TEXTBOOKS are NOT references.
WIKIPEDIA is NOT a reference.
